Foraging for wild Birch Bolete mushrooms (Leccinum versipelle)   Easy to ID, easy to find, these are great for beginners and grow all over the world! These are not a commercial mushroom because they tend to blacken when dried & don't ship well. Foraged & cooked fresh, these are every bit as tasty, healthy & nutritious as the gourmet products we carry! Great in sauces, soups & meats, or just sautéed with butter & garlic on toast! If you're interested in foraging, or just want to realize the benefits of eating mushrooms, an identification app/book & Birch Boletes is a great place to start! These are amazing in the Vegetarian & Omnivore versions of our Mushroom Tenderloin Recipe!
