We created this blog to show you how use the FREE iMapBC service to help you locate private/reserve land parcels and either avoid them or obtain explicit permission to access them prior to engaging in foraging activities. The Landowner is responsible for posting signage at ordinary access points. The onus falls on the Land-user to ensure they are on public land, and this tutorial can help you do this. 1. Use headlights & radio on radio assisted roads, 2. Park well off the road, 3. Ensure you are on Crown Land, 4. Carry a GPS, Lighter, Snacks, Knife, & Bear Spray. 5. Leave only tracks & a clean campsite behind. 6. Look out for one another! Link, Print, or Share this blog at the bottom of the page!
